As the chair of the Fryslân Open task group, he leads the team that works hard behind the scenes to make this championship possible. Together with the entire team, he helps to ensure everything runs smoothly before, during and after the event.
He is also the chair of the Artistic Swimming department at HZ&PC Heerenveen, supporting the growth of the sport and the community around it.

Remco Dijkstra
Behind every great event is a strong visual story — and he’s the one bringing it to life.
Remco is responsible for the event visualisation and social media, making sure the Fryslân Open not only runs at a high level, but also looks the part online and beyond.
As an experienced organizer of multiple large, multi-day competitions within the club, he knows exactly what it takes to deliver a top-level event. And as a multiple Dutch Masters champion in competitive swimming, he brings that same drive for excellence into everything he does.

With a true passion for artistic swimming, Rianne brings heart, creativity, and dedication to the Fryslân Open.

Ilse Boomsma
From water polo roots within the club to a key role in artistic swimming, Ilse is an essential part of the Fryslân Open team.
As a board member of the artistic swimming department, she takes care of the finances with precision and care. A true finance mind, Ilse ensures that participant registrations run smoothly and everything behind the scenes is perfectly organised.
She also manages the event’s merchandising and access control, making sure both athletes and visitors have the best possible experience.

Yme Waterlander
A true pillar of the club and one of the founders of artistic swimming in Heerenveen.
With years of dedication to the sport, Yme plays a key role in the Fryslân Open by making sure everything in and around the pool is perfectly prepared. Through close collaboration with Sportstad Heerenveen and all facility partners, he ensures the venue is ready for a top-level event.

Thea Klijnstra
Our newest addition to the Fryslân Open organizing team — and a vital one.
With her extensive experience as a judge in artistic swimming, Thea is the driving force behind the jury table. She ensures everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, so results are delivered quickly and accurately.
Working closely with the referee and jury, and leading the jury secretariat, she keeps everything perfectly aligned throughout the competition.
